The outbreak of creepy clowns
Lynna
The first recorded “creepy clown” sighting was in Greenville, South Carolina. Clown sightings have popped up all over the nation, and there have also been many threats on social media against schools. Teens from Wichita, Kansas were arrested for believed to have had something to do with the clown threats on schools. Because of these threats, some Wichita schools did not have school until they knew that the threats were a hoax. Even so, schools have banned any sort of clown costumes from being worn on Halloween.
The people dressed up as clowns are going around carrying weapons to scare people. They have been reported carrying around knives, real and fake. There have been several people that have posted videos of clowns standing along the side of the highway and approaching cars. There has also been many people arrested for going around, dressed up as clowns, scaring people.
The “creepy clown craze” started in the US, but it has spread all over the world. There are reports of clowns in the UK and Cumbria. What started out as a “funny joke” has become a worldwide epidemic. Fortunately, there has not been many threats lately, but the threats are still there. Thankfully the “creepy clown craze” is beginning to end.
